About Velvet Taco
Velvet Taco touts itself as a “temple to the liberated taco”, a phrase that summarizes the chain’s unique approach to taco. Basically, the tacos here aren’t your usual Tex-Mex treats but are one step up, thanks to the use of quality ingredients, intensive preparation, and artful presentation. Don’t worry as there’s nothing hoity-toity about the place as it has a fast casual environment where families and friends can tuck into the tacos with glee.
Velvet Taco prices are on the higher end due to the quality of the ingredients used to make the food.
Born in 2011, Velvet Taco quickly became popular because of the international flavors in its tacos – and it has been awarded Top Ten Best in Restaurant by D Magazine, among other accolades, for this reason. The menu includes gourmet tacos in flavors like rotisserie chicken, roast corn pico, and white queso, which are served on a corn tortilla.
There’s also the package of whole rotisserie chicken, corn tortillas, sides of elote-style rotisserie corn, Korean barbecue sauce, and roasted corn pico de gallo. The dishes are served quickly so there’s no need to fret about going hungrier.
