About Tijuana Flats
Brian Wheeler opened the first Tijuana Flats Tex-Mex in Winter Park, Florida in 1995 and he steered it towards the successful chain of restaurants that it is today. The business model used is a combination of franchisee-owned and company-owned restaurants, of which there are more than 120 in total across Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
The Tijuana Flats prices are considered reasonable because of the restaurants' high standards in food quality, customer service, and cleanliness. Every restaurants serves the best in Tex-Mex foods, especially freshly made foods, as well as for their hot sauce bars, organic white meat chicken, and avoidance of trans-fatty acids. There are also Power Lite selections, which means the food contains fat-free sour cream and low-fat cheese.
The fast casual hybrid service means that customers make their orders at the cashier's counters, find their seats, and wait for their orders to be delivered by waiters. The menu includes chimichangas, tacos, burritos, nachos, and flautas, among other options.
