Average PricesAbout Shipley Donuts
In 1936, Lawrence Shipley, Sr. created a gourmet recipe for doughnuts and Shipley Donuts was born. The first location was in Houston, Texas and today the chain has several locations in the Southern and Midwestern United States. The chain has both standalone and attached locations with the latter mostly in shopping strip centers.
Then and now, the chain’s goal is to serve hot doughnuts to its customers, a goal that continues to serve it well as hot doughnuts are definitely better in quality than cold ones. As its founder once said, every time customers bite into their hot doughnuts, they will come back for more – and they still do!
Customers can choose from several different types of doughnuts, kolaches, and pastries. There’s always something on the extensive menu to satisfy your cravings for something sweet or savory, filling and flavorful. The Shipley Donuts prices are also budget-friendly so enjoying its doughnuts as a daily treat shouldn’t be a problem.
The bestselling types are the glazed doughnuts and the chocolate glazed doughnuts, a proof that nothing beats the classics. Choices also include chocolate iced, white iced, cherry iced, maple iced, coconut iced, cinnamon sugar, Oreo cookie, powdered sugar, chocolate sprinkled, and pink sprinkled.
Be sure to try the cake doughnuts, too, which come in buttermilk and blueberry varieties. The kolaches are served in generous portions and come in flavors like traditional sausage, sausage and cheese, ham and cheese, and Big Earl Sausage and Cheese.
