Rooibos

Pronounced "roybos", in afrikaans, the name means "red bush" and is picked from the aspalathus linearis bush plant found in South Africa. This traditional caffeine free, herbal South African drink has a mild, aromatic, slightly citrus sweetness. It is said to have the ability to cure headaches, insomnia, asthma, eczema, bone weakness, hypertension, allergies and premature aging. Enjoy hot or cold over ice with a dash of honey.

Earl Grey

In the 1830s, charles grey, 2nd earl grey and british prime minister received a gift of tea flavored with bergamot oil and the infamous tea was born. Our hand-crafted version of this traditional blend includes the finest quality full-leaf Chinese black teas scented with natural Sicilian bergamot. Silver needles (highest grade of Chinese white teas) accent the rich black leaves. When brewed, it produces a warm amber-hued liquid with a long, fragrant finish.

Lapsang Souchong

Souchong teas are made using the larger 3rd and 4th leaf sets, which typically have a stronger flavor than the smaller leaves and buds. Lapsang souchong tea is cured in swedish pine smoke. The unique process yields a tea with a strong, smoky aroma in the bag and nothing but smooth flavor with smoky undertones in the cup.

Single Origin Coffee

Brazilian Cerrado

The relatively flat topography of the cerrado region makes it possible to utilize mechanical harvesting while also assuring some consistency of quality in choosing the optimal time to pick the coffee beans. Cerrado coffee is generally clean with a good body and creamy mouthfeel with a lower acidity and nutty flavor profile.

Colombian Cauca

Colombian coffee is among the most recognizable and most dynamic in the world, with multiple growing regions whose distinct yet consistently crowd-pleasing profiles reflect the various microclimates that exist in this large country. This roast contains a well balanced sweetness, fruity effervescence with a foundation of cocoa.

Colombian E.A. (Decaf)

This is a decaf coffee from a natural process called ethyl acetate. This involves fermenting palm sugar and decaffeinating the coffee using that fermented solution as opposed to a chemical process. This also allows the beans to be decaffeinated at origin instead of being shipped to another location and as a result provides a fresher bean. This is easily the best process for decaf we have found; and this specific coffee is one of our favorites.

Ethiopian Kembata

The kembata region of Ethiopia is in the Southern part of the country, bordering Kenya. The farmers use a 36- 48 hour fermentation process in the wet mill and then use raised beds for drying the beans under the sun. The coffee cherries spend 15- 21 days drying which leads to the sweet flavor notes of blueberry and strawberry.

Guatemalan Waykan

In the maya q'qnjobal dialect of the region, "waykan" means "star or light that shines in the sky at night, " and this dynamic coffee shines with its crisp acidity reminiscent of apple with a balance sweetness. The indigenous population in and around huehuetenango plays a large role in the coffee production and coffee accounts for roughly 80 percent of the local economy.

Prodecoop is a second-level cooperative organization that groups 38 grassroots cooperatives made up of 2, 300 small producers. This sweet, slightly acidic coffee is certified fairtrade where 100 percent of its members participate.

Sumatran Takengon

Sumatran coffees are famous for their peculiar flavor profile, low acidity, thick body, and rustic flavors that can often be described as earthy. Japanese interest in sumatran coffees led to the introduction of the wet-hulled process, a unique style of handling and drying that is largely responsible for sumatran coffees’ unmistakable flavor characteristics, but also their normally greenish-blue hue.
