About Duck Donuts
Russ DiGilio and Robin Griffith opened their first Duck Donuts in 2006 in Duck, North Carolina. Based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the chain has 69 locations in several states including North Carolina, Florida and Georgia, among others.
Duck Donuts prices are similar to other donut shops such as Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts. As with all three, the best value is the assortment of donuts, which usually comes in a dozen pack.
The main product on Duck Donuts’ menu is made-to-order cake doughnuts served with the customer’s choice in toppings. The base doughnuts, a light doughnut cake, is made using an automated process but is made-to-order so it’s always served warm, if not hot. The wide range of toppings – there are more than 30 at present – include fruit glazes like strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry, as well as chopped bacon, chocolate peanuts, and cinnamon sugar.
There are also baked goodies including sandwiches with fillings of eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese. The beverages include coffee and fruit juices, which are served in convenient cups and glasses. The crew members are known for their fast and friendly service, especially in letting customers customize their doughnuts.
