About Barberitos
Tex-Mex food obviously came from the State of Texas with its vibrant Mexican community but it has become a favorite in the diverse American culinary landscape. The combination of traditions from Mexico, Spain and Texas has resulted in the likes of Barberitos becoming well-known and well-loved.
Barberitos is a rising star in Tex-Mex food, partly thanks to the excellent quality of its burritos, while the name itself is the portmanteau of Downing Barber, its founder, and burritos. Barber opened the first Barberitos in Athens, Georgia and there are several locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee today.
The Barberitos prices are pocket-friendly so diners are wont to indulge in the extensive Tex-Mex menu of the restaurants. The food includes burritos, the signature item, as well as quesadillas, nachos, and quesadillas, which come in several varieties like Heavy D, Skinny, and Fatty. There are also several vegan and vegetarian choices. Most, if not all, the food are prepared fresh on site – in fact, there are no refrigerators in the restaurants.
